Visit of Permanent Secretary of Transport and Housing to Brussels on 25 November 2009

The Permanent Secretary for Transport and Housing (Transport), Mr Francis Ho, led a Hong Kong Logistics Development Council delegation on a visit to the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg from 22 to 26 November 2009.

At business luncheon hosted by the Belgium-Hong Kong Society in Brussels on 25 November, Mr Ho and the delegation highlighted Hong Kong’s various strengths, including a free economy, a fair and transparent regulatory regime, its strategic location, first-class infrastructure and connectivity, deep pool of supply chain talent, comprehensive support services, expertise in servicing high-value items, and unrivalled access to new business opportunities in Mainland China.

Over 100 guests attended the luncheon. They included the BHKS Vice-chairman, Mr Georges Legros and BHKS Board Members, Mr Manfred Loeb, Mr George Ammerlaan, Mr Erik Famaey, Count Paul Lippens, Mr Daniel Jordan, Mr Gérard Yeung and Ms Sheila Arora.
