Asian Youth Orchestra gala concert in Brussels
The Asian Youth Orchestra (AYO) gave the final concert of its world tour in 2017 at the Fine Arts Centre BOZAR in Brussels on 5 September 2017. The concert was one of the highlights of the HKSAR 20th anniversary celebrations of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO, Brussels).
The concert was preceded by a reception for members of the Belgium Hong Kong Society, the European and national institutions, the diplomatic corps, business
circles, academics and the media.
Conducted by Richard Pontzious and with renowned violin soloist Ms Sarah Chang, the AYO performed Don Juan by Richard Strauss, the Violin Concerto in D minor by Sibelius and Symphony N°7 by Beethoven. It received a standing ovation at the end of the performance.
